In "Echoes," three meditating figures sit one behind another, each slightly offset, like a breath repeating or a sound fading softly into the distance. The front figure is cream with scattered pink dots, the middle one shimmers in metallic lilac, and the one at the back glows in pink glitter. Three lotuses float around them, and behind them all, a pink tie-dye background radiates outward like ripples. For me, this piece is about how a moment of stillness carries forward: each quiet breath echoing into the next, and one person's calm echoing out to others.

In "What Rises," a purple/silver meditating figure sits inside a ring of turquoise glitter lotuses, set against a deep blue that sparkles like a night sky. Pink lotuses climb the spine, one above another, and at the crown, strands of gold lift upward like a flame. For me, this piece comes from my own meditation practice: drawing energy up the spine from its base, one lotus at a time, until it rises through the crown and opens into light.

In "Jubilee," a meditating figure cut from a photograph of rippling water sits at the still center of a wild, joyful field of hot pink splashed with aqua, coral, and yellow. Two rings of turquoise glitter lotuses circle around her like a celebration. The ripples move outward from her center, the way calm spreads through the body in meditation, while all around her the color bursts with energy. For me, this piece holds both at once: stillness within, festivity all around.

In "Sovereign," a meditating figure in shimmering metallic pink sits against deep royal purple, hands resting in mudra. A large gold lotus rises behind it like a crown, and a smaller glitter lotus blooms at its base, grounding the figure in something rooted and luminous. An ornate gold border frames the whole scene, like the edge of an illuminated page. For me, this piece is about the dignity of sitting fully in yourself: calm, unhurried, and whole.

In "Kindred," two meditating figures sit side by side, close enough that their hands touch. One is cut from olive green paper embossed with flowers, matte and still, with a large green lotus opening above it. Its twin is red glitter and catches every bit of light, with small red lotuses floating around it. They rest on three layers of paper: silver swirls, then a sheer sheet of handwritten script, then a smaller panel of cream embossed paper. For me, this piece shows meditation from two sides: the stillness of sitting in it, and the glow of what comes after.

In "Weathered Calm," a meditating figure is cut from an image of a weathered slice of wood, its warm copper grain split by cracks that run through the head, shoulders, and spine. The figure sits against old turquoise boards, their paint worn thin and their nail holes still showing. Nothing here is new or perfect, and the calm comes anyway. For me, this piece is about the steadiness that time and wear can bring: cracked, seasoned, and still at peace.

In "Embraced," a meditating figure cut from brick-red paper, embossed with leaves and vines, sits inside a ring of lotuses filled with deep autumn reds, browns, and greens. A small gold lotus glows at the heart, and a larger shimmering gold lotus crowns the circle above the head. All around, flecks of red, orange, and gold glitter scatter like leaves on the wind. For me, this piece is about the feeling of being held: warm, steady, and wrapped in the colors of the season.

In "Unfolding," a meditating figure cut from pale pink feather-patterned paper sits in front of a great lotus opening behind it. Half its petals are hot-pink glitter and half are the same soft feather pattern, as if the figure and the flower are made of one thing. Small glitter lotuses bloom at each hand, and at the base a pink lotus rests on a holographic one that flashes rainbow colors. For me, this piece is about abundance: how much opens up, petal by petal, when we give it room.

In "Ripples," a meditating figure cut from black glitter paper sits in a photograph of raindrops landing on blue water. Each drop sends out its own rings, overlapping and spreading in every direction, while the figure stays perfectly still at the center. Up close, the glitter catches the light like the surface of the water itself. For me, this piece is about staying centered while life keeps moving: the drops keep falling, and the calm holds.

In "Ripening," the meditating figure is filled with ripe cherries, deep red, full, and ready. An arc of red lotuses rises around like a slow bloom. For me, this piece is about the patience of practice: what we tend quietly in ourselves eventually comes into its fullness. 16” x 16” Fine Art Print, Open Edition.
Meditation brings feelings that are hard to put into words. The Lotus Series is my way of giving them form, so you can recognize them, live with them, and carry that energy into your own space.
Serenely dynamic, Radiance captures the moment when stillness turns into energy. A meditating figure, cut from an image of a peacock feather, sits in perfect calm, its sweeping magenta and plum strokes flowing up through the spine like breath rising. From the head and shoulders, holographic waves ripple outward in every direction, flashing silver, green, and violet as the light moves. Small magenta glitter lotuses bloom at each hand, and the whole scene glows against a shimmering coral pink background. It's an image of what meditation can feel like from the inside: quiet at the center, radiant all around.
